The Premier Inn Terminal 5 Heathrow is one of four Premier Inn hotels serving Heathrow airport located around the airport perimeter.

As its name implies this Premier Inn Terminal 5 is best located for those using Terminal 5, though note it is not within walking distance of Terminal 5. In fact it is more than a mile or a couple of kilometres away.

 

If you are using Terminals 2 and 3, the Premier Inn (Bath Road) a couple of miles east is arguably a better option for those terminals. And for Terminal 4 the Premier Inn Terminal 4 is connected to Terminal 4 by a covered walkway.

The Premier Inn Terminal 5 is on the edge of Longford Village, there are a couple of pubs about 5 minutes walk away and a McDonald's nearby.

 

A red London bus runs every 20-30 minutes from outside the hotel and terminates in front of Terminal 5 arrivals hall. This bus is route number 423. Before Covid this bus route was free as were many of the bus routes in the Heathrow Free Travel Zone (FTZ). From 12 June 2021, you can consider the entire Free Travel Zone to be suspended until further notice.

 

Close neighbours of the Premier Inn Terminal 5 is the Heathrow Lodge, just about the cheapest accommodation on the airport and the Thistle Terminal 5 which has a unique pod link to Terminal 5. Both of these hotels can be cheaper than the Premier Inn Terminal 5.

There are 4 passenger terminals at Heathrow numbered 2, 3, 4 and 5.

The hotels at Heathrow are not allowed to run their own airport shuttle vehicles between the airport and the hotels.

Hoppa Buses - are regulated by the airport authority and run on fixed routes, each serving 2 or 3 Heathrow airport hotels.

Hotels have one bus for Terminals 2 & 3, another for Terminal 5.

No shuttle service runs direct to Terminal 5 from the Premier Inn Terminal 5.

Previously Free local buses to passenger terminals

The free public bus route 423 was suspended in June 2021, so you now need to pay for your journey. The bus runs from by the hotel to Terminal 5 around every 20-30 minutes daily.

From Terminal 5 there are other public buses to Terminal 4 and you can use the Heathrow Express train free to Heathrow Central where Terminals 2 and 3 are located.

Vicinity around Premier Inn Terminal 5 Heathrow

There are some pubs within a 10-15 minute short stroll and also a McDonald's and a Chinese and Indian restaurant.

It is possible to visit Windsor using local buses. Windsor Castle is in the heart of Windsor with bus stops outside. You can get the the 75/76 or 81 buses to Slough from where you can get other buses over to the other side of the River Thames and Windsor.

 

An alternative route giving you scope to visit Runnymede, where the Magna Carta was signed, involves getting the bus between Windsor and Terminal 5 at Heathrow. From Terminal 5, the 423 bus will bring you back (free) to the Premier Inn Terminal 5.
