hotel is north of the airport, at the junction of the airport spur
into the central area of the airport and the M4 motorway. The Crowne
Plaza is one of the most luxurious of the Heathrow hotels with very
good leisure facilities including swimming pool, spa and sauna.
Treat it as a resort hotel, as it is quite isolated.
The Novotel is opposite but otherwise there is nothing in the immediate
vicinity. |

Sipson
is a village about 10-15 minutes walk. If you walk over to the Novotel
and under the motorway in the direction of the Holiday Inn, then turn
left by the corner of the Holiday Inn you will come to 'The Plough'
pub (right), in about 7-8 minutes. If you carry on about another 5
minutes you enter Sipson. Here you will find further pubs, convenience
stores and a restaurant or two.
A local bus, route 222 stops outside the Crowne Plaza and runs to
Uxbridge or Hounslow about every 10 minutes, both regional shopping
centres. |
