The Holiday Inn Heathrow Ariel is one of three Holiday Inn hotels at Heathrow. The Holiday Inn Heathrow Ariel is at the north-east corner of the airport on the northern perimeter road, (Bath Road).

The Ariel has several neighbouring hotels and the airport bowling alley is next door as well as a McDonalds. Frequent public buses pass the door to the terminals and to local towns.

Passenger Terminal Transfers:
Like all the major hotels at Heathrow, transfers between the the hotel and the Heathrow passenger terminals are provided by the Hoppa Buses. The relative position of the Holiday Inn Ariel to the various passenger terminals and hotels are shown at the Heathrow hotel map at the bottom of the page.
Local public buses also pass the front door of the Holiday Inn Ariel very frequently to the passenger terminal area at higher frequencies and a lower cost than Hoppa Buses.

No complementary hotel shuttle buses run to/from any mainstream Heathrow hotel.
Instead, 'Hoppa Buses', (pictured left) and regulated by the airport authority run on fixed routes, each serving 2 or 3 hotels.

If you have light luggage you can catch the route 105 or 111 bus from the Central Bus Station between Terminals 1,2,3 to a bus stop immediately outside the Heathrow Ariel hotel at a fraction of the cost. The 105 runs a 24x7 service. From Central there are free train connections to Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 every 15 minutes.
Bus 423 runs from Harlington Corner, opposite the Ariel to Terminal 5 about every 20 minutes and is free.

Vicinity, Good & Bad Points:
The hotel is at the north-eastern corner of the airport, sited on the northern perimeter road, the Bath Road.
The hotel is an unusual circular 3 floor block that probably won't win any awards for architecture and is not one of the newest hotels at Heathrow, but has been recently renovated.
Has all the facilities you need for a short overnight with restaurant facilities including room service, but few frills.
Quite good for getting away from the hotel if you need to. Airport bowling alley a few metres away with a McDonald's.

Buses from in front of hotel to Heathrow Central & Hounslow West Underground stations, 45 minutes to Central London.

A night bus runs all night from Central London every 20-30 minutes stopping outside.
Possible excursions to Hampton Court & Windsor by public bus in less than an hour.
