Read below to discover the key destinations and features of your tour.
This ancient Neolithic site, over 5000 years' old offers a fascinating glimpse into our ancestors' past. The ring of stones still poses many archaeological and historical questions for academics and visitors alike.
Discover the mysteries that surround the slaughter stone and see the numerous earth barrows where the beaker people lie buried, before heading through the Salisbury plains towards Bath.
A comprehensive audio tour is available to download in advance (English version only), by searching for the ‘Stonehenge Audio Tour’ in your App store. The app will explain in detail each part of the stones at Stonehenge to fully bring to life the magnificent megaliths in front of you.
You will spend around 2.5 hours in Bath, time for a panoramic tour and some lunch from a wide choice of outlets in the centre of Bath. You might wish to try the Pump Room Restaurant, at the Roman Baths, where you can try the famous hot spa water for yourself.
Bath is a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. Following our guided tour of the city, there will be time to explore at your leisure. The most popular single attraction are the Roman Baths that were built nearly 2,000 years ago, on the site of Britain's only natural warm spring. Well worth visiting; the ticket for this is not included in the price, but you could purchase separately on entering.
Alternatively you could choose simply to soak up the sights such as Bath Abbey with its magnificent early Gothic architecture and the famous Pulteney Bridge - one of only four in the world with shops -running over the river Avon as it cascades over the weir. There is also the Assembly Rooms, one of Bath's finest Georgian buildings, and the Jane Austen Centre, a must see for Austen lovers.
In Stratford you will have about two hours to visit the home of one of the most famous writers of all time, William Shakespeare.
Stratford-upon-Avon is a charming market town set in the heart of rural England. A delightful river winds its way through the town, past the beautiful Holy Trinity church where Shakespeare lies buried.
Your tour includes a walking tour of Stratford passing Shakespeare's Birthplace, a half-timbered house, where Shakespeare and his brothers and sisters were born and brought up.
If taking your tour between April - September you will end your day at Shakespeare’s school: built in the 15th century and where young William was taught in the 1570s. Included in your day out is a private and exclusive tour just for Premium Tours clients - you can even enjoy a school lesson too!
Shakespeare's Schoolroom is closed during low season between October - March, so instead you will have extra free time in Stratford-Upon-Avon including a photo stop outside Shakespeare's Birthplace as well as the schoolroom. The price for this option during this period is lower.
Your tour will begin at Victoria Coach Station, one of the major transport hubs in central London and very close to Victoria Underground and Railway Station. Tour companies are no longer allowed to perform pick-ups at hotels for public day tours.
Victoria Coach Station is like a small airport with airport style departure screens where your tour will be displayed together with a gate number.
The driver or guide will check you in on boarding the coach.
Usually all that is required is the lead passengers name and you will be checked off the passenger list, but do bring along your tour confirmation voucher.
The tour ends at Victoria Railway and Underground Station and normally a drop-off is also offered opposite Gloucester Road Underground Station in Kensington. There are no advance seat reservations on-board, you select your seat on boarding from those available.
