International Friends are the only specialist small group operator offering a full programme of day tours from London daily. On the tours there are no more than 16 people - guaranteed.
Purpose-built minibuses have large windows, good air circulation and clear PA systems so that your professional guide can escort you comfortably through our wonderful countryside. Despite the small numbers there are no minimum numbers required as we guarantee to run a tour if we make it available.
The small group size means your guide can offer a more personalised guiding service. So don't hang back, ask your questions and you'll be helping the guide tune their commentaries to the interest of the group on board that day, every group is different.
Another advantage of a small bus is you can go places the big tours cannot and wherever possible the bus will head off down a country lane to show some hidden gem.
The tours only stop at the places you paid to visit on the tour, no stops are made at souvenir shops or restaurants in the middle of nowhere.
Below are the day tours currently available from London every week. All of the day tours from London depart between 7.20am and 8am. March to October, one hour later in the winter months normally returning to London by 6.30pm.

The Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath day tour is the most popular day tour from London. No wonder with three world-class attractions visited in one long but rewarding day.
Within the ethos of getting away from the crowds you will travel direct to Stonehenge leaving the big bus tours behind.
After around an hour at Stonehenge it's a scenic hour's journey to Bath, arriving just before lunch. In Bath you are free to explore at your leisure. Enjoy lunch in one of Bath's elegant tea rooms, or try a famous Sally Lunn bread bun in the city’s oldest house. You will then visit the 18th century crescents and squares of the Georgian city, built 250 years ago, when Bath became the social centre for high society with dancing, bathing and all manner of relaxation.
Your final stop for the day is Windsor Castle (admission included). Windsor is the oldest and largest continuously occupied castle in the world and was the favourite residence of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Marvel at the grandeur of the State Apartments, Grand Reception Room and the Royal Chapel of St George; resting place of many of our Kings and Queens and setting for the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Windsor is on the edge of London, close to Heathrow Airport so it's not long after leaving Windsor that you are back in London.

Following Oxford, you will head for the picturesque Cotswolds. The small bus comes into its own on this tour into the Cotswold region to the north west of London. With the small bus you can go down country lanes and visit places the big tour buses and crowds are prohibited from. You'll see more of the unspoiled countryside and villages that attract people to the Cotswold region in the first place.
Travelling along narrow country lanes you'll visit off the beaten track places, including idyllic Burford and vibrant and charming Bourton on the Water, before you stop for a delicious lunch in a traditional Cotswolds country pub.
You will then visit Bibury with its photogenic collection of houses known as Arlington Row, before driving through stunning centuries old villages with photo stops along the beautiful Coln Valley.
The smaller vehicles are able to travel up the narrow Coln Valley on single track roads, passing fields of sheep, historic churches and sleepy hamlets.
Your last stop is bustling Stow-on-the-Wold with its vibrant market square, before driving back to London passing through Chipping Norton and Woodstock.

It is a busy schedule and you cover long distances for one day but you'll see England's most famous Neolithic monument Stonehenge, and the much larger henge at Avebury.
Avebury is much less well known that Stonehenge but just as memorable. Without the crowds at Stonehenge, Avebury is much more hands on. You can walk among and touch the stones and also go inside a burial chamber.
In between Stonehenge and Avebury you journey into the mystical land of Avalon and Glastonbury, seeing the famous Glastonbury Tor.

Take advantage of your small bus tour and go where the big buses cannot. All in all a varied and rewarding day.
Your first stop on your journey from London is the enigmatic Stonehenge. By visiting there first you beat the crowds arriving mid morning. Your guide will bring Stonehenge to life by discussing the ever-changing theories around its mysterious alignments and purpose.
You will then head further west towards the famous city of Bath. See the Roman Temple, and original Roman pavement. Take some time for lunch (own expense) in one of the elegant tea rooms, and try a famous Sally Lunn bread bun. Explore 18th century crescents and squares of the Georgian city.
Following Bath, it is a short drive to historic Lacock, a medieval village set on the edge of the Cotswolds. Owned by the National Trust, Lacock is full of beautiful cottages and narrow streets which the smaller vehicle is able to navigate.
To end your memorable day out, you finish at nearby Avebury, a pretty village of thatched cottages nestling in the middle of a huge circle of ancient stones. Here you can relax on a guided walk around the mysterious standing stones and enjoy some free time to explore, before your small group day trip ends, and you return to London.
