Windsor Castle opens at 9.30am so the tour group will be some of the first to enter the castle that day through the special tour group entrance.
Windsor Castle has a long history from William the Conqueror, right through to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Successive monarchs have lived here and left their mark on what is now the largest continuously occupied castle in the world.
See the magnificent St George's Chapel, which has hosted several royal weddings, and enjoy the exquisite State Apartments, which have recently undergone a major renovation.
Windsor itself is a pretty town full of traditional shops and historic pubs. Immediately outside the castle is the Old Town with its cobbled streets.
The tour schedule for Windsor is a visit of around two hours.
Bath is a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. Following your guided tour of the city, you will either enjoy the Roman Baths at Bath or you have free time to wander around this fabulous historical city.
Around Britain's only hot spring, the Romans built a magnificent temple and bathing complex that still flows with natural hot water. You will see the water's source and walk where Romans walked on the ancient stone pavements and of course see the baths themselves.
The Baths are conveniently located in the town centre, close to Bath Abbey and the shops.
Bath has lots of attractions including the Jane Austen Centre, Bath Abbey, a spectacular late medieval perpendicular Gothic church, interesting and individual shops and cafes, Pulteney Weir and stunning Georgian architecture.
Many people find they get such a liking for Bath they want to visit again!
This ancient Neolithic site, over 5,000 years' old offers a fascinating glimpse into our ancestors' past. The ring of stones still poses many archaeological and historical questions for academics and visitors alike.
You will get to see the long path, with raised banks and ditches, known as the 'avenue'; a processional route stretching about three miles or two kilometres, marking the the entrance to Stonehenge. From this point you can learn about how our ancestors understood the turning of the year, and the importance of aligning with the sun.
The visitor centre, a mile from the stones themselves, is well worth finding time to see. It displays nearly 250 archaeological treasures, which were used or buried at Stonehenge as well a regularly changing programme of special exhibitions.
In addition, reconstructed Neolithic houses outside the visitor centre, provide living history with regular demonstrations of ancient domestic skills such as flint knapping, and rope making.
A comprehensive audio tour is available to download in advance (English version only), by searching for the ‘Stonehenge Audio Tour’ in your App store. The app will explain in detail each part of the stones at Stonehenge to fully bring to life the magnificent megalith in front of you.
Prices displayed on the banner link are a special online discounted price, deep discounted from the price in London.
