With hydrotherapy pool - Hilton Hotel Terminal 5 Heathrow |
The Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 is a relatively new Hilton Hotel opened in September 2011. There is another Hilton, the original Hilton Hotel Heathrow Terminal 4 that is connected to Terminal 4 and new in 2019 is the Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow Terminal 2 hotel, connected to the central terminals, 2 and 3.
Despite its name, the Hilton Heathrow Terminal 5 is not at Terminal 5 itself but over a mile away. You require a shuttle bus called Hotel Hoppa, running every 15 minutes at peak times.. Note, the Heathrow Hoppa bus shuttle only runs to Terminals 4 and 5 from the Hilton Terminal 5. But from Terminal 5 you can catch a free train over to Terminals 2 and 3. Many other hotels have direct shuttles to Terminals 2 and 3.
If you want a luxury hotel that is linked to Terminal 5 then the Sofitel Heathrow meets this specification.
Note: There are two Hilton hotels at Heathrow Airport. The other, the Hilton Hotel Terminal 4 is attached to Terminal 4.
There is also the DoubleTree Hilton Heathrow and the Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow, both off-airport and both with Hoppa Bus shuttles to all of Heathrow's passenger terminals, including Terminals 2 and 3. New in 2019 arrived the Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow T2 which is on-site and allows you to walk from the hotel to the central terminals.

There are 4 passenger terminals at Heathrow numbered 2, 3, 4 and 5. The hotels at Heathrow are not allowed to run their own airport shuttle vehicles between the airport and the hotels.
Hoppa Buses - are regulated by the airport authority and run on fixed routes, each serving 2 or 3 Heathrow airport hotels. Hotels have one bus for Terminals 2 & 3, another for Terminals 4 & 5.
However the Hilton Terminal 5 has no shuttle to Terminals 2 and 3, though you can take a free train shuttle from Terminal 5 to these terminals.
The Hilton Heathrow Terminal 5 is to the west of the airport located among a mix of light industrial units for companies servicing the airport and residential properties. Of the mainstream Heathrow hotels its geographically closest to Windsor in a straight line.
A 10-minute walk and there is a pub or two and a few eating options ranging from fast food aimed at the workers in the industrial units to an Italian restaurant.
If you want to travel and do not have your own transport its tedious without investing in a local cab. There is an occasional public bus service that goes to Heathrow Terminal 5 in one direction and Slough and Eton (for Windsor) in the other.
