Hilton Hotel Terminal 4 Heathrow Airport features pool, spa and 24-hr gym |
Heathrow Termimal 4 re-opened after the covid-19 pandemic in June 2022.
There are four hotels in the Heathrow Terminal 4 area connected to Terminal 4 by a covered walkway.
These hotels are the Premier Inn Terminal 4, Hilton Hotel Terminal 4, Crowne Plaza Terminal 4 and the Holiday Inn Express Terminal 4.
The exisiting Heathrow Connect trains are no longer operational; however the line has been re-branded the Elizabeth Line. The Elizabeth Line offers services to travel between central London and Heathrow Airport; terminals 2 & 3, 4 and 5.
You can also still catch a Heathrow Hoppa Bus as the hotels lie on this route.
The cheapest rates can still be found at the Premier Inn Terminal 4, while Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express offer rates under £100 per night depending on season and availability.
Heathrow Terminal 4 is isolated on the south side of the airport far from the other Terminals 2, 3 and 5.
Apart from Terminal 4 itself and the 4 hotels the only things in the vicinity are airport businesses.
You can travel to other passenger terminals at Heathrow free of charge by train from Terminal 4.
The vast majority of hotels at Heathrow are on the north (opposite side) of the airport from Terminal 4, convenient for terminals 2, 3 and 5.
The only other airport hotels on the Terminal 4 side of the airport with hotel shuttles are the Travelodge Terminal 5 and the Hilton Garden Inn
Some hotels from the other side of the airport also run hotel shuttles to Terminal 4, but no more than about half of them.

There are no complementary hotel van shuttles allowed, instead the Heathrow airport authority runs their own hotel buses called Hoppa Buses.
Heathrow Hoppa Bus |
There are many Hotel Hoppa bus routes. Each route services 3 or 4 hotels that are close to one another on the edge of the airport at frequencies commonly around every 30 minutes from Terminal 4.
There is a flat fee that is the same for every Heathrow hotel whatever the distance from the passenger terminals. Most of the Hoppa routes that service Terminal 5 also service Terminal 4 in addition.
The hotels not mentioned in the section above are all located on the north side of the airport. Less than half of these support a hotel shuttle direct to Terminal 4.
Alternatively you can travel to Terminal 4 by free train from beneath Terminals 2 and 3 in the centre of the airport and get the hotel shuttle to Terminal 3. All hotels on the north side of Heathrow Airport have shuttles to Terminal 3.
The Premier Inn Terminal 4 and the Holiday Inn Express Terminal 4 are the two no-frills budget hotels. Both have all the basics you need including a restaurant but no frills like room service, health and fitness facilities etc..
Premier Inn are the UK's leading chain in this sector and are at least comparable in quality to Holiday inn Express.
One thing to note is that Premier Inn rates are normally cheaper but Holiday Inn Express include breakfast in the room rate.
The Hilton Hotel Terminal 4 and Crowne Plaza Terminal 4 are the full service hotels which obviously you pay a premium for.
For many years the Hilton was the only hotel at Terminal 4. The Crowne Plaza opened in 2018 and shares the same building as the Holiday Inn Express Terminal 4 who share the same owner.
The only other airport hotels on the Terminal 4 side of the airport with hotel shuttles are the Travelodge Terminal 5 and the Hilton Garden Inn.
The Travelodge Terminal 5 is a basic budget chain hotel that if you book a saver rate in advance can be just about the cheapest hotel room at Heathrow.
The Hilton Garden inn is a full service hotel offering a more economic alternative to the hotels connected to Terminal 4.
Both hotels have Hotel Hoppa buses to Terminal 4 and the Hilton Garden Inn you can take a public bus to Terminal 4 free of charge from Hatton Cross Underground Station which is very near the Hilton.
As said before, most hotels at Heathrow are on the other side of the airport and the range in price and hotel type is much wider than on the south side by Terminal 4.
Do check out whether any hotel you consider on this side of the airport supports a shuttle transfer bus to Terminal 4.
Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow |
The hotels connected to Terminal 4 and the Hilton Garden Inn offer the best hotels from a logistic point of view, if you want to go sightseeing in London.
Underneath Terminal 4 is a London Underground station and also the Heathrow Express runs to London much more quickly. Beside the Hilton Garden Inn is Hatton Cross Underground Station.
The London Underground offering a reasonable cost transport option takes the best part of an hour to get into Central London.
Pay out the premium prices of the fast Heathrow Express train and the London Paddington terminus is probably far from where you want to go in Central London, so you will need additional transport, usually by tube.
