The Holiday Inn Express Terminal 4 Heathrow is connected to Terminal 4 at Heathrow via a covered walkway and shares the same building as the Crowne Plaza Terminal 4, also owned by IHG.

Terminal 4 at Heathrow is isolated from the other passenger terminals at Heathrow and as a result most of the hotels are situated on the other side of the airport too.

So, if you are using Terminal 4 at Heathrow your choice of convenient hotels is restricted to a handful of hotels on the south side of the airport where Terminal 4 is located. The only other budget hotel is the Premier Inn Terminal 4

Heathrow Terminal 4 has its own Underground and rail stations offering quick and convenient transfers into central London.

Note: there are two Holiday Inn Express hotels at Heathrow Airport, the other, the Holiday Inn Express Terminal 5 is located on the other side of the airport and despite its name is some distance from Terminal 5.

If you are using Terminal 2 and 3, the Holiday Inn Express is a better option, as you can take a free train that runs every 15 minutes between Terminal 4 and Terminals 2 and 3. There is also a free public bus between Terminal 4 and Terminal 5.

There is nothing around the hotels except for Terminal 4 itself, Terminal 4 is the other side of the airport to the other passenger terminals where most hotels, restaurants etc. are located.

 

It's about 60 minutes to central London by Underground, or you can catch the Heathrow Express train which is more expensive to London Paddington taking 20 minutes from the station in Terminal 4.
