The viewing gallery and observation deck on the 72nd floor is the highest habitable floor of the 82 floors built. If you were wondering, the rest of the building consists of office space, (the City of London financial area is close by) award-winning restaurants, a 5-star hotel and exclusive residences.
Your ticket will give you access to indoor viewing platforms on levels 68 and 69 as well as Access to the open-air Skydeck on level 72.
The location is very near London Bridge Station and Borough Market. The other main attraction offering views is of course the London Eye, quite a long way to the west of The Shard - so two very different views as well as experiences.
Famous sites close to The Shard include Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, the Gherkin, St Paul's Cathedral and of course further away the London Eye itself.
On entering the building high-speed lifts whisk you to 'The View,' located at the top of The Shard on floors 68, 69 and 72. Here, you take in unobstructed views of London's best sites.

The View from The Shard is open to visitors on selected days of the week (currently closed on Monday and Tuesday). Opening dates and times do vary, with earlier opening times and closing times in winter and later opening and closing times in Summer. So please do check when booking your tickets.
The Shard is located on the south bank of the river close to London Bridge Railway and Underground Station. Close by is Borough Market a very popular food market and within walking distance major attractions include The Monument, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.
London Bridge Underground Station (Northern and Jubilee Lines) is adjacent to London Bridge Station, which is also a major Railway Station with services.
All of London's hop on, hop off sightseeing buses stop in the vicinity of London Bridge and The Shard.
Tickets prices for the View from the Shard can be variable. It is advised to check The View from The Shard Official website as well as tickets from third party sellers (see Tickets for View from the Shard, below). On the official website you'll also find the full range of tickets including river cruises and champagne upgrade.
Ticket prices through the official View from the Shard website are variable according to season and day of the week. Cheaper tickets are available midweek.
Tickets give you guaranteed entry to The View from The Shard, plus panoramic guide, 4 digital photos and the opportunity to upgrade with a glass of champagne.
Currently all tickets are priced the same regardless of age (no family tickets available). Children under 3 do not require a ticket to visit The View from The Shard.
These tickets are called "MasterCard VIP Tour" and only for MasterCard holders only anyway. The package includes a glass of champagne, guidebook and digital photos included.
Cheaper group tickets are available for groups of ten or more people.
Special event tickets are available for such attractions as Silent Disco', 'Weekend Warmup' and 'Blue Light Card Family Fun Event.'

Entrance times are defined with 30 minute slots from opening to closing time with exact entrance time stated on the ticket confirmation. Once inside the attraction there is no time limit on your dwell time in the attraction within our advertised opening hours.
