The Travelodge Stansted Bishops Stortford was built only recently in spacious grounds as a 3/4 star Best Western hotel and was in 2010 converted into a Travelodge.

So as you drive up the long driveway through landscaped grounds, yes you are in the right place, this is a Travelodge.

The Travelodge is not in Bishops Stortford itself, but very close to the M11 motorway interchange with Stansted Airport, just outside the main airport entrance. Birchanger services are about 1km away.

There is no transfer facility provided by the Travelodge to Stansted Airport so those without cars might look at the Holiday Inn Express Stansted or Premier Inn Stansted closer to the airport and both with their own regular hotel shuttle bus.
