The Holiday Inn Express Stansted was opened in January 2005 and is the closest hotel to the passenger terminal at Stansted, bar the luxury Radisson Blu Hotel Stansted and Hampton by Hilton Stansted both located adjacent to the passenger terminal at Stansted.

However, both of these hotels come at a significant price premium to the Holiday Inn Express Stansted Airport.
