The Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3 is a brand new Hilton hotel that opened in July 2019. There are four other Hilton hotels, the original Hilton Hotel Heathrow Terminal 4 that is connected to Terminal 4, the Hilton Heathrow Terminal 5, the DoubleTree Hilton Heathrow and the Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow.
Until recently, Terminals 2 and 3 were the only Heathrow terminals that did not have a hotel attached and within walking distance of the terminals. This changed with the arrival of the Hilton Garden Inn Terminal 2 hotel. Previously it seemed lack of space was the main reason for this, but land was found for this Hilton hotel and most rooms offer runway views. The hotel is linked directly with the Queen's Terminal.
More recently in October 2019 the Aerotel T3 London Heathrow opened its doors. This hotel is located in Terminal 3 itself, offering less luxury but flexible stays with hourly rates.
The Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow T2 hotel features a rooftop bar which promises spectacular views over the runway and there is a fitness suite, business centres, meeting space and a restaurant.
For sheer convenience this hotel is very popular, as it removes the transfer required at all other hotels serving the central terminals. Parking is not available at this hotel. Parking is available at the connecting Terminal 2.
Note: There are now five Hilton hotels at Heathrow Airport. The Hilton Hotel Terminal 4 is attached to Terminal 4 and the Hilton Heathrow Terminal 5. This is about a mile away from Terminal 5.
There is also the DoubleTree Hilton Heathrow and the Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow, not to be confused with the new Hilton Garden Inn at T2, both off-airport and both with Hoppa Bus shuttles to all of Heathrow's passenger terminals, including Terminals 2 and 3.

Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Terminal 2 transfers to/from passenger terminals
There are 4 passenger terminals at Heathrow, numbered 2, 3, 4 and 5. The hotels at Heathrow are not allowed to run their own airport shuttle vehicles between the airport and the hotels. The main draw at the Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow T2 hotel is that you can walk to the central terminals 2 and 3. You can, if needed, then use the shuttle trains to one of the other Heathrow terminals.
Hoppa Buses - are regulated by the airport authority and run on fixed routes, each serving 2 or 3 Heathrow airport hotels. Hotels have one bus for Terminals 2 & 3, another for Terminals 4 & 5.

The Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Terminal 2 is next to the central terminals. It is a good location to explore London from as you have access via the terminal to the Underground, Heathrow Express and TfL Rail. You can be in Paddington in 15 minutes using the Heathrow Express for example. Though from Paddington you will then most likely make the further journey into the centre of London.
Bath Road is outside the terminal and has a range of services and facilities from restaurants to shops. A short cab ride from this hotel will take you here.
You can also visit places like Windsor to see Windsor Castle and Windsor Legoland which are both within 8 miles. Ascot Racecourse is also a similar distance away.
