Gatwick Airport Long Stay Car Parking has become increasingly dominated by the airport authorities' own long term car parks and a couple of very large off-site independent airport car parks.

The airport authorities official car parks are split with a dedicated car park for each terminal, North and South. These car parks are close enough to the airport not to require a separate business car park offering shorter transfers.

 

The off-airport car parks main operators Purple Parking and APH Parking are about 15 minutes from the passenger terminals, their shuttle buses running broadly at 20-minute intervals and calling at both passenger terminals.

Another more fragmented market are the Meet 'n' Greet and Valet parking operators that offer the ultimate in convenience. A driver meets you at the passenger terminal when you arrive and drives your car away to the car park, returning to meet you on your return. At Gatwick Airport there is a special area outside the passenger terminals for approved meet 'n' greet car park operators.

• Off airport car parking is normally the cheapest long term car parking available at Gatwick Airport. Complementary buses shuttle between the car park and passenger terminals and are included in the parking fee.

• Official Long Stay airport parking with regular transfer buses to the terminals. The car parks are closer to the passenger terminals than the off airport alternative for which you pay a premium for the quicker transfer times.

• Valet or Meet 'n' Greet parking offers the convenience of dropping your car at the terminal forecourt and having it delivered back to you on your return.
