The Crowne Plaza Hotel Terminal 4 Heathrow is connected to Terminal 4 at Heathrow via covered walkway.
Terminal 4 at Heathrow is isolated from the other passenger terminals at Heathrow and as a result most of the hotels are situated on the other side of the airport too.
So, if you are using Terminal 4 at Heathrow your choice of convenient hotels is restricted to a handful of hotels on the south side of the airport where Terminal 4 is located.
Heathrow Terminal 4 has its own Underground and rail stations, offering quick and convenient transfers into central London.
The Crowne Plaza Heathrow Terminal 4 shares the building with the Holiday inn Express Terminal 4, which also belongs to IHG, owner of both brands.
The Holiday Inn Express Terminal 4 is for the more budget minded traveller who doesn't require the full services offered by the Crowne Plaza.
The other luxury hotel at Terminal 4 is the Hilton Hotel Terminal 4, also connected to Terminal 4 by covered walkway.
Note: there are two Crowne Plaza hotels at Heathrow Airport, the other, the Crowne Plaza M4 J4 Heathrow is located on the other side of the airport and has better access to Terminals 2 and 3.

Crowne Plaza Terminal 4 Heathrow transfers to/from passenger terminals
The Crowne Plaza Terminal 4 Heathrow is attached to Terminal 4 by walkway.
For Terminal 2 and 3 take the Heathrow Express train every 15 minutes from Terminal 4.
For Terminal 5 you can take public buses free of charge or you can take the Heathrow Express changing train at Heathrow Central Station.

The Hilton Hotel , Premier Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Crowne Plaza hotels at Terminal 4 are the only hotels convenient for Terminal 4, all have a direct link by footway to the passenger terminal.
There is nothing around the hotels except for Terminal 4 itself, Terminal 4 is the other side of the airport to the other passenger terminals where most hotels, restaurants etc. are located.
It's about 60 minutes to central London by Underground, or you can catch the Heathrow Express train which is more expensive to London Paddington taking 20 minutes from the station in Terminal 4.
