Hotels around Regent's Park are spread out over a wide area around the very large Regent's Park which is also home to London Zoo. We handpicked Marylebone, Baker Street, Camden Town and Swiss Cottage hotels for a variety of choice.
Regent's Park is one of the Royal Parks of London. It lies within north-west London, partly in the City of Westminster and partly in the London Borough of Camden. This area is handy for visitors using using Luton and Stansted airports. The southern border of Regent's Park is quite central, for instance, Oxford Street is only a 10-min walk away from Baker Street.
The obvious main attraction in the area is Regent’s Park itself, a Royal park that is very large indeed. It also houses one of London’s other main attractions: London Zoo. You’ll find plenty to do in the Royal Parks of London and Regent’s Park has a host of attractions. We have written a blog post about the Royal Parks that details everything the parks offer. Regent's Park open air theatre offers entertainment throughout the summer and is a huge draw for an atmospheric evening out in the sunshine.
Oxford Street is a 10-min walk from the southern border of Regent’s Park. Madame Tussauds is on Baker Street, a very popular attraction. The Wallace Collection, a hidden gem with 25 galleries displaying 18th-century French paintings, furniture, old master paintings and an armoury is also in the area. Sherlock Holmes Museum sits understandably in Baker Street, 221b to be precise.
Prices do reflect the excellent location, but bargains can also be had at certain times of the year and at weekends. On average you can expect to pay around £100-350 per night.
Regent's Park budget hotels are normally more expensive at the weekend than mid-week and there are seasonal variations in price. The period between April and early November is more expensive than the winter months. In June and July the area may sell out well in advance at weekends.
The area is very central and has a good selection of its own attractions as well as excellent transport links and easy access to the rest of London. If you enjoy staying close to nearby green spaces, then the area offers one of the largest in London.
We also recommend considering Bayswater, which is situated around Hyde Park and offers some of the best value hotels in London.
