From ghost tours featuring notorious characters, to hauntingly good family fun and historical scarefests in ancient palaces, London really does offer some bone-chilling entertainment this Halloween.

1. The London Dungeon’s Exorcism Show 2023
‘Home of Halloween’, no list would be complete without mentioning the legendary London Dungeon. This year the Dungeon will take you back to 1814, and a man called Peter Moore, said to be a demoniac; possessed by evil spirits.
Launching on Friday 13th October until the night of Halloween, The London Dungeon will take you into the world of haunting spirits, terror and a family desperate to try to save him. You may just be the Moore family’s last and only hope to help exorcise the spirit that has taken possession of his body and his home.
Do you dare face the haunting spirits and the childlike phantom that has a grip on the house?

2. WB Studio London Master the Dark Arts
The Warner Bros Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter does Halloween in its own unique, magical way. Every year the Dark Arts is given centre stage at the Studio. Here you can let your inner Slytherin run wild exploring the world of the Death Eaters, daring duels and Hallowe’en feasts.
Discover the Great Hall at this special time of year, decorated with a dazzling individual display of carved pumpkins floating above a spooky feast, as seen in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
During your tour make sure to follow the Dark Mark around the Studio and mark on your passport.
Be prepared to fight the Death Eaters by undertaking some wand combat training; practice specialist moves as performed interactively by Wand Choreographer Paul Harris.

3. London Eye Cruise: Fright on the River Thames River Cruise
This October the London Eye River Cruise will take you on a watery-ghostly journey along the River Thames, hearing stories from London’s murky past. Jack the Ripper, the ghost of Captain Kidd and phantom cries of Old London Bridge are all available for your ears.
This experience features live actors suitable for ages 5 and up. Murky Mulled Wine for adults and spooky non-alcoholic beverages are included with your ticket.

4. SEA LIFE London Aquarium – Tricks and Treats
SEA LIFE London Aquarium is a great place to discover spooky creatures that lie beneath the surface including fearsome Wolf Fish and the mysterious Octopus this half term.
Family fun includes spook-splash-tic- challenges and earning yourself some cool SEA LIFE Halloween treats too.

5. Jack The Ripper Coach & Walking Tour
Walk in the footsteps of London’s most infamous serial killer on this chilling evening Jack The Ripper Walking and Coach Tour. Starting at Whitechapel (or Central London if you require transport) you will visit the real-life murder locations and learn the stories behind the ‘Whitechapel Murders’ from your informed guide.
To this day, the identity of the killer remains a mystery, and well over a hundred theories exist today that attempt to lift the veil on the identity of one of history’s most elusive murderers.
During the tour, you can enjoy a traditional fish and chip supper included, from one of London’s oldest, most authentic ‘chippies’.

6. Ghost Bus Tours in London

Shrek’s Adventure! London is offering some fairy tale Halloween fun this half term. Be whisked away to Far Far Away aboard a magic bus to an enchanting world of magical dreams (and waffles).
Visit the resident witch and be surprised with some tricks and treats. Enjoy a Shrek-tastic fright journey suitable for young guests and their families and snap yourself a photo with a witch before she flies away.

8. The Tower of London Twilight Tours
The Tower of London will be re-starting its twilight tours on selected Sundays at 7pm from October- December. Here you can follow the Tower’s iconic Yeoman Warders as they lead an atmospheric tour after hours to the famous Traitors’ Gate, the scaffold site and the Bloody Tower.
1000 years of history is sure to throw up some ghostly apparitions and stories to suit the Halloween in London spirit. Over 12s only.

9. Halloween at Hampton Court Palace
Is there a more likely place to spot ghostly goings on than at one of the Royal Palaces? Hampton Court Palace, the notoriously haunted palace, comes alive for Halloween 2023, the spookiest time of the year at Hampton Court.
Atmospheric projections and creepy sound effects transform the palace, as you tiptoe through the dark winding corridors and courtyards. Will you feel the chilling presence of the infamous ghosts hiding around every corner?

10. Brick or Treat at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort
Brick or Treat at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort arrives again this October half term. LEGOLAND is to be transformed into a pumpkin-filled wonderland. A frightfully fun event of the year perfect for the young, and the young at heart!
Witness the LEGO® Monsters taking over and throwing a Monster Party to celebrate their favourite time of the year! 11. Wicked The Musical London Theatre Show

12. London Bridge Experience
Experience a terrific bone-chilling experience at the London Bridge Experience. Discover the terrifying history of London Bridge and the London Tombs whilst encountering different characters such as Jack the Ripper and The Keeper of the Heads as part of this immersive theatrical experience.
Smell, hear and see things from the bridge’s past, as you make your way through the Bone Yard, the hall of the living dead and past the Bloody Butcher, while you look out for the ghost of Emily!
The bone-chilling scare maze in London Tombs is next – creep around the haunted catacombs as zombies and other unspeakable creatures leap at you from the darkness.
There are no age restrictions but it’s recommended children under the age of four are not taken to the attraction. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
