After taking in the views, the lift can take you back down lift back alternatively enjoy a leisurely 455 steps to the bottom, or if feeling adventurous, you can experience the world’s tallest and longest tunnel slide, which features 12 loops of the Orbit’s structure. London Aquatics Centre

Copper Box Arena

The Copper Box Arena is a state-of-the -art facility providing a multi-purpose indoor venue and world class events space.

Originally built for the 2012 Summer Olympics it has become a popular venue for various major sporting fixtures, exhibitions, and top entertainment. The arena is home to a number of premier clubs including the London Lions basketball team and London Pulse netball team.

Lee Valley VeloPark

Lee Valley VeloPark is a fantastic spot for everyone, regardless of age or skill level, who has a passion for cycling or is eager to start.

The centrepiece of the VeloPark is the velodrome often referred to as the ‘pringle’ due to its undulating roof design.

You can experience four different cycling styles at one location:

Track Cycling: An indoor velodrome featuring a 250-meter indoor wooden track. Available for both Track and Experience sessions.

Road Cycling: Floodlit, one mile closed road circuit. used by cyclists of all levels, including professionals and those just starting out.

BMX: A floodlit outdoor BMX track featuring jumps and sharp turns, perfect for both seasoned riders and newcomers to the sport.

Mountain Biking: Several miles of graded biking trails winding throughout the VeloPark’s landscaped areas.

Situated in the northern area of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre offers premier sports facilities for both beginners and advanced players in both sports.

Open to the public, with facilities for hire and a variety of programmes, social sessions, and competitions. In addition, the Centre has been the host of national and international hockey tournaments and remains a key location for significant sporting events.

Wembley Stadium

Allianz Stadium – Twickenham

Formally known as Twickenham, the Allianz Stadium is England’s national rugby union stadium and the home of English rugby. Overground from London to Twickenham
The London Overground connects Richmond station to Twickenham. If you’re traveling on the District line of the tube, you can switch to the Overground at Richmond and continue to Twickenham from that point.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct tube connection from London to Twickenham. The nearest tube stations are Hounslow East on the Piccadilly Line and Richmond on the District Line, both of which are about a 45-minute walk from the stadium. If walking isn’t your preference, you can take the tube to Richmond and switch to an Overground service from there.

Lord’s Cricket Ground is best reached by public transport, as travelling by car is best avoided due to the heavy traffic and limited parking options in the area. However, it is important to note that visitors who have specific access needs may need to use a car.

The ground is conveniently located just 6 miles from the M1, making it relatively easy to reach for those coming from the north. Additionally, it is only 1.5 miles from Marble Arch, providing a straightforward route for those traveling from central London. Overall, while public transport is the recommended option, there are multiple routes available for those who do need to drive.

Lord’s has several London underground stations close by, and depending on where you are seated in the ground some stops may be more beneficial.

  • For the Warner Stand, Pavilion, and Tavern and Allen Stands, use Warwick Avenue (12 minute walk) or Edgware Road (15 minute walk).

The Kia Oval

The Oval formally named the Kia Oval due to sponsorship, is an international cricket ground located in Kennington, South London. The Oval has been the home ground of Surry County Cricket Club since it opened in 1845 making it one of the oldest cricket grounds in England.

The iconic grade II listed pavilion is an important part of the grounds character, along with the gasometer located behind the pavilion end, a prominent structure synonymous with The Oval’s skyline.

The Oval is famously associated with the birth of the Ashes series. Wimbledon

Located at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon is widely known for its tennis tournament, held since 1877, and staged annually in late June and early July on the grass courts of SW19.

Parking for the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum and Tour
If parking is available, you won’t have to pay a fee. Make sure to have a photo ID, such as a driving license or passport, and a vehicle pass to get in. The entrance is located at Gate 4 on Church Road.

Parking for Championships
Parking is limited on-site and must be booked in advance. Car park reservations for the 2025 Championships will open on Monday 14 April 2025. Blue Badge parking is available close to the museum.

Alexandre Palace

Alexandra Palace lovingly known as the Ally Pally, is a sports and entertainment venue in north London. Set within 196 acres of parkland, offering panoramic views over London.
